About Me

I believe therapy can be a shelter in an increasingly turbulent world.   A place to pause and explore all the experiences that have shaped you.  Our work together is collaborative and insight-oriented, helping you understand who you are, how you got here, and where you want to be.  We will reflect on what is working in your life and what you want to change. My style is warm, attuned, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where we can explore difficult or tender experiences with gentleness and care. Together we will uncover areas for healing, examine survival strategies that may no longer serve you, and develop more authentic and sustainable ways of being.

I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, gender identity exploration including medical transition, early childhood trauma, life transitions, career changes, relationship challenges, codependence, grief, and burnout. My approach is relational and psychodynamic, grounded in attachment theory and informed by trauma-informed, anti-racist, queer, and feminist approaches. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to support you in developing greater insight and lasting change.  I’m especially passionate about working with queer and trans folks, caregivers of trans children, men looking to move beyond restrictive gender roles, neurodivergent folks, college students, those hoping to create better boundaries in their relationships, and folks in caregiving roles. As a queer and trans person, I hold a lived understanding of how systemic oppression and early relational trauma can interrupt emotional and developmental milestones. In therapy, I support clients in naming and grieving these losses, reclaiming a sense of agency, and building new capacities for trust, connection, and self-compassion.

Our work often begins with a deep exploration of where you feel stuck, exploring your history, relational patterns, and internal stories. Many clients share that identifying their emotional experiences, the meanings they’ve attached to them, and understanding how those patterns developed provides a greater sense of clarity and control. Through this understanding, clients often find that long-standing patterns begin to shift naturally, making space for new ways of being.

I don’t take lightly the risk involved in entering a therapeutic relationship. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, I would be honored to work with you. Together, we can help you heal what feels broken, change what no longer serves you, and build a life rooted in authenticity, integrity, and connection.
